Believe the hype

Whilst using some other new social sites I've been tracking their progress using Hypestat. I've found their stats to be fairly realistic. They use Alexa that relies on people using their extension, but the trends reflect what I see elsewhere.

At the moment Steemit is looking good. Visitors are increasing and they are engaging with the site. Views per visitor is important. Steemit does not depend on advertising, so it's not so important where visitors come from, but it's still getting a lot of users from the US and Europe. Some other sites end up with lots from southern Asia trying to cash in. I'm not sure they would do so well here due to the way it's designed. Irrelevant comments will get voted down.

I'll be keeping an eye on the stats. Of course there are other sites that give an insight into actual usage of Steemit, but it's useful to compare it with other sites.

Earn without ads? I am new here, trying to understand. Was going to deposit in my wallet here but appeared a error. I don't know how to use

I was able to deposit from a couple of different wallets. It took a while to appear on steemit. I also need to work out where the money comes from

It's being hyped for a reason!
It's got impressive social tools!

Things are moving in the right direction... here's to the future!

It will be interesting to see if they can sustain this. I'm riding the wave

Hi @steevc - i do not get this steem - what do i need to do to increase my follower base etc ?- Am struggling a bit :-)

I really don't know. I think my followers are either from Tsu or people I commented on. Keep interacting with people and you may get there. I think there's an element of luck. One friend just did a post that's worth $300! Some of the big guns may have voted on it
