It is most of all persistence and a lot of time spent on seemit every day, and not doing it for the rewards.
I think you are doing it right. You are providing valuable content that is not just about Steemit. Good luck
I started writing some steemit guides soon after I joined steemit, because I wanted to share what I have learned as I was learning how things work and maybe help others. Though quickly moved past these... :)
