I've taken a few Steem out to an exchange (Poloniex) and sold for Bitcoin. Didn't get actual cash, but was able to use it to buy some cloud mining. I plan to get a debit card that can be funded with crypto. Looking at Xapo and Bitwala. Bitwala can be funded directly with Steem, so hat may be easier. There are ways to get £ for Bitcoin, but I've just not tried that yet. I'll be happy enough if I can buy stuff with a card.
