I've been powering up for 7 months and not powered down at all. I have confidence that Steemit will take off once the masses realise there is an alternative to bombarding users with annoying ads, plus you can actually pay those users! I really can't see any down sides. I'm ignoring the moaning that goes on about flagging etc. That's just part of growing pains.

Steemit needs one viral commercial for everyone to see and then Huston we have a liftoff. I don't see any promotions going on lately. I hope under the hood they are cooking something big. Flag war will pass just like most things that were trending at the time.

The Steemit account could pay for some ads. Meanwhile we users can get the word out.
If you can bring three people on board and they also have positive experience here, chain reaction starts, and that is one of the main reasons we have new signups happening every day. They've heard about steemit from one of the users here. As steemit gets older this will be more interesting to see how it plays out. I can literally start drawing my steemit tree of life :)
