I like your ideas. I would say, for a definite yes, I think downvotes should definitely cost to do. That would be a good move I think.

Thanks, @stellabelle, appreciate your input. And your overall contribution to the platform, but you know that already :)
If we start small, by implementing one change, like adding a cost to downvoting, we could see and measure results. I'm all for this actually, as I have downvoted a few things, and I felt so strongly about them, that i definitely would have paid for them. However, this won't impact really bad whales......
Of course, small steps, measuring, small steps again, that's my approach too. Let's see what other people are thinking about it.
