TOP 50 USERS BY REPUTATION
As a New User it can sometimes be a little daunting at first trying to find out "who's who" on STEEMIT.
One of the keys that plays a huge role on STEEMIT is Reputation and hopefully this Top 50 List will help New Users find their way around the Community.
I am a massive fan of STEEMWHALES.COM and for anyone new to STEEMIT who hasn't checked them out I strongly recommend their site.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the info, always great to see people trying to produce lists to help new people out as you have said it can be quite daunting for new people. I did not find it that daunting when I joined around 10 days ago but thankfully this community is full of people who are happy to help so thanks again! :)
You are very welcome. Thank you. Welcome to Steemit. Stephen

Should have went with the top 85. I'm number 84. :)
Sorry @stephenkendal, the "Reputation"-Value is nothing worth. Nothing more than the sum of all upvotes minus all downvotes. The higher the reputation the higher the author rewards.
"The higher the reputation the higher the author rewards"
Are there any link that show author rewards !!!Thanks for update @twinner
Thank you! Some times Steemit looks a little "complicated" for a newbie, but information like this really helps. :)
Congratulations!
Seems that @steemsports will be the first user to get 80
thanks for sharing the list.....
If someone is new and has a low reputation (like me), does that mean more people will decide to not read the post because of the low reputation?
I think this is indeed the case. It is not what we would like to achieve as a group (at least, from my perspective).
Well if this the reputation number is actually causing this popularity mentality when checking posts. Wouldn't it be smart to not show the reputation of a person before someone actually clicks on the post or visit the person's profile?
The game changer would be that someone has to click on the post first, which means they will also get to see more of the content of the post and they already made the click anyways to get there.
Thats not a bad idea.
It's more likely less people will read your post merely because you don't have any followers at the start, so your posts aren't turning up in people's feeds. I suggest building a following and reputation before you start putting effort into top level posts, by interacting with people on other blogs.
Oh I didn't know posts wouldn't show up when you don't have many followers. Do you happen to know how many followers are required for your posts to turn up for everyone?
Your posts will turn up for everyone searching the New page automatically. You don't have to do anything for that, but not so many people are following that page all the time. The issue is that without followers, it will be hard to get to Hot or Trending without being in anyone's feeds. You are only in people's feeds if they follow you.
Right now it's kind of like Twitter. If you tweet there with no followers, nobody will see you tweet. At least on Steemit there are some people scouring New just in order to find good posts for curation rewards.
Ahh okay, thanks for the explanation. Here's to you seeing me on the "hot" page one day then haha.
Heartly thank you @stephenkendal for sharing dis... and congratulation for you that you in top 50 . i hope this post will be helpful for new commers like me... Follow @retroo
Haha, great to see you are in the top 50.
I've been using steemwhales for a while and I agree that it is really useful to look at certain analytics.
Thank you for sharing this . it's super helpful.. hope to be better in this community.
Reputation sure seems to play an enormous role: I have the feeling a lot of people vote automatically because high reputation. See my thoughts here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@wekkel/steemit-are-we-just-upvoting-the-most-reputable-steemers
I thought 75 was the highest reputation available.
Thanks so much!! I do think this will be very helpful. Up-voted, and re-steemed!! And congrats on being in the top 50!!
Thank you for putting this together Stephen!
Wow thanks for this info! So how does one increase their rep score?
Whats the distribution of reputation across all of Steemit?
I assume it skews pretty quickly given the larger percentage of newbies to the platform vs the old guard with high reps.
