Okay this is a slightly edited re-post as I didn't really get satisfying answers yesterday! This is a genuine question and I am not spreading "FUD" (learnt that term yesterday!) This might sound like a silly question, but with everything that's been going my on lately (think Vault7 etc.) how can we know that Steemit isn't a CIA ploy to gather even more information about people and a way of tricking non-conventional thinkers to reveal themselves.
Can anyone comment to put my mind at ease? Thank you. :-)
