I met up with @fredrikaa today! Steem Power, blockchain, trading and blogging was some of the topics we talked about. And to be honest, one hour was not enough time.
And last, but not least, he is super engaged in Steemit.
He has a very interesting blockchain project in the loop, so make sure to follow him!For those who don’t know him, @fredrikaa is Norwegian, from my hometown actually, but he lives in Paris. He is an economist and works for the European Space Agency!
We had a lot to talk about and I feel like the hour just flew by! I definitely have to meet up with him again the next time we’re both in Norway at the same time.
Fredrik also told me a quote, that I think I should tattoo all over my forearm.
“Aim for progress, not perfection”
This is something I should try to remember every single day. He managed to calm my nerves and give me some really good guidelines when it comes to HODLing, FOMO and trading in general.
He told me that life and the desicions we make always happen in “the now”, and that the only thing we can do to try to reach what ever the “perfect” is, is to so little things all the time that brings us closer to the “perfect”. And this is as you all know - progress.
This is a super poor translation of what he really said, but you get the point!
We also talked about how I felt that the quality of my content here in Steemit has declined over the year and a half I’ve been steeming. I’ve been busy starting my own company for the last 12 months, but I finally feel that I’ve got more spare time. I’ll make sure to get a grip!
All in all, this has been a great day! And I am super excited to start creating better content and invest more in Steemit! I’d encourage all of you to do a local mini Steemit
meetup if you know anyone from Steemit in your area.

Hello dear , How are you doing ? It Sounds like a great hangout and I am had you enjoyed it. Keep yourself cool and have fun 😊👍
Hi again! I'm good, what about yourself? It was a lot of fun! :P Likewise, buddy!
I think community is very important here, and is something that made Steem what it is. Meeting up with people and developing relationships is surely going to keep things moving in the right direction.
Very nice..
That good to know other members of this wonderful platform and to share ideas. Happy day
It truly is. So much fun to discuss Steemit with someone who is actually here too. Very happy day!
Awesome! I'm glad you guys met and talked about the way forward on steemit, i will follow him right away and i hope to meet someone soon so as to have a steemian friend too.
You should! :) Maybe post about it? Where do you live?
To improve the quality of our content, we have to focus, but what can be done if there are other activities, the important go ahead to the perfection The main goal is progress, not perfection😎😎😎
It's so true. I need to keep this in mind.... :p
😊😊😊
I agree, one hour is barely scratching the surface. I am still not getting it. Progress, not perfection is a good reminder.
Yes, we should've scheduled more time, but I had to get back to business :p
Wait a second...wasn't meeting your friend...business?
so nice to meet one from your home place out in the big world ... and sound like you had an interesting conversation and nice meeting😀
It was so nice to meet him and we had a lot in common! :)
iteration is the real rule of thumb for me. keep pushing until it or you is better at doing the thing you really want to be doing and do it FOR YOU not for who you want people to peceive you to be! :)
This is so true. Thanks for sharing! :P I really agree with doing stuff for yourself.
Wonderful points and thank you for sharing these realistic views on steemit. I hope to remember to feature some of your nice content in my new Steemit Magazine. Happy Holidays and all the best.
"apunta al progreso,no a la perfección" buena cita y muy buen consejo para quienes apenas comenzamos en este mundo steemit...
Takk for en innholdsrik mini-motivasjonstale. Det trengs av og til. Litt kjedelig å skrive en lang post med godt innhold, for så å få så og si ingen respons. Men, det er bare til å stå på, så kommer suksessen snikende etterhvert 💪😊
There's such truth in that quote: “Aim for progress, not perfection.”
The process of continual improvement is akin to compound interest. The gains are slow at first, but over time, magic happens...
Vi må få til et steemit-møte i Sortland i mars! Vi trenger også en motivasjons-peptalk :)
