I'm pretty new here. I just started posting in the last week, but I've been lurking for a few weeks before that.
For lack of better judgement, I'm jumping in. I'm an idealist and I can't help trying to help fix things that could be better.
So...
I noticed Haejin and his bullshit TA right away. (how could you not?)
I also noticed how often he posts and how ridiculous his rewards are per post.
@berniesanders recently posted this:
https://steemit.com/steem/@berniesanders/haejin-is-stealing-your-rewards
which received over 22k views and 2400+ votes. I think it's obvious there's a lot of us who don't like this behavior.
In case you're not convinced that haejin is both full of shit and hurting steemit, here's some evidence, collected from the cascade of comments on the above post.
@just2random did some retrospective judgement of haejin's TA which shows that he is wrong far more than right:
https://steemit.com/crypto/@just2random/1-day-of-haejin-20-20-hindsight-results-from-14-1-2018
https://steemit.com/crypto/@just2random/1-more-day-of-haejin-20-20-hindsight-results-from-15-1-2018
https://steemit.com/sbd/@just2random/haejin-is-going-full-circle-on-sbd-and-putting-it-all-on-red-and-black
@thabiggdogg dug around and found that users on YouTube are equally suspicious of his TA.
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@thabiggdogg/i-looked-at-haejin-s-youtube-videos-and-found-this
And finally this:
This means that at current value Haejin is pulling in over $20,000 USD worth of SBD DAILY.
2400+ people voted on @berniesanders' post. If all of those people just went over and gave those votes as downvotes to Haejin, his posts would earn shit, and we'd be rid of him. We don't need to wait for some whales to rescue us. decentralized power is still power.
I think that isn't happening because people are afraid of retaliation.
Let me tell you something. I've been in other situations where fear of individual retaliation has stopped a collective of people from doing what needs to be done and allowing a single individual to get away with abusive behavior.
Now in this case, no individual is really getting hurt - it's currently the collective that is hurt equally by 4% of the reward pool going to one person. But the central truth is the same - only when we all realize that acting together we are strong, and giving up our fear of self protection for the greater good, will things change.
And if anyone reading this is more savvy with development than I, here's an idea for you: quorum sensing. if an individual won't act because they are afraid of being isolated and attacked individually, the solution is to create a way to collect downvotes that are held back until the critical mass is reached and they are unleashed all at once.
Remember that a single individual couldn't reasonably keep up a campaign of attacking thousands of downvoters.
As one of a large group you are safe.
Let's do this.
I'm starting right now.
@Haejin has flagged me many times. He took me to REP -2. I am not afraid of his flags!!! I will continue to post about him as much as I can until he is gone.
