Centralization is not what we want. We ever want to be free and not surrounded by people who wants to control us and our need. Facebook on the other hand is centralized and forces us to pay for it although it says it's free.

If you are just a simple user who don't have any page then you may not get it. If you are a page admin and regularly post on facebook then it is annoying to find how many times facebook asks us to boost a post. We get same notification almost daily.
There is another major problem with facebook. It is that they store our data and recently it is been found out that facebook leaks our data and their security is not tight enough. Steemit doesn't saves our data and it is highly secure than facebook.
Not to mention, ads we got on facebook is annoying too and the video ads disturbs the fun of the whole video. Facebook takes every money from the ads. Steemit doesn't have any ads and it can pay to it's always like this.
People will eventually move towards blockchain social media. Steem maybe one of them or another thing may came, which solves the pain which steemit has and be on top. Future will say that but facebook, if goes like this won't last too long !
Oh yes it wont. Whats done is done. We learned our lesson, but many don't. Because it is impossible to collectively move off the Facebook, then we will need to ride the snake until she will eat herself to Death. :)
