Interesting, no one one steemit has yet to accuse me of lack of guts. I see what you did there. :)
But seriously: I've given it some thought. I have enough support and friends to crawl up the witness ranks. Maybe not pass my beloved friend steempty, but I can get some votes and sign some blocks and make some SP to support my community.
Between marketing utopian.io , managing the Israeli community, managing 3 relationships and writing a book while having chronic pain and fatigue? My little plate is more than full. If I run a witness, I will need to dedicate even more time to steemit, the community and bloody politics (which is the part I hate). I don't think it would be fair of me to go into witnessing half-assed and without being able to really commit.
But I do think about it quite a bit, and odds are that enough poking on discord and a few beginner guides will make me set up a node and start playing around. It's techy, and I can't resist. It's in my name.
Most of my waking hours are currently invested in various schemes to benefit the platform. I already know it will be a hosted witness, cause my local connection and power are not nearly reliable enough. @themarkymark publishes good witness guides, and I can probably talk to friends to get started, but DUDE. SO MUCH WORK.
I wish that urban myth about women being better at multitasking was actually true in my case.
Dooo it!
(I'm confused though--who are you trying to prove wrong?)
Not sure. The world?
I would love it if you set up a witness, but you won't do it. You don't have the guts. You don't have what it takes.
Imagine you setting up a witness and getting voted up even higher than me, the mighty Neoxian! Ha ha, it is to laugh.
I taunt you!

Why don't I? Lack of guts? I wish.

12% upvote to your comment set up as a witness! I think you should do it! and I make great tea :)
Peer pressure and tea. Oh dear Gods. I am going to talk to steempty and ask his advice. He's been steeming since before steemit.
no pressure haha but I truly believe this is something that is of benefit to the platform.
