RE: Why I am quitting steemit - and you should too

in #steemit7 years ago

Half quit. I am no longer posting on steemit (for now) but peer pressure made me stick around. I am active behind the scenes more than I am creating content right now. Curating lots, commenting a bit, resteeming at times. I was hurt and angry, but I am over it. Just... waiting out the shitstorm.

Sort:

well some things do suck with steemit but the larger it grows and more people adopt the platform I think they will become smaller and smaller. I think you should stick and post too! Remember no platform is perfect!

No platform is perfect, which is why I currently believe I can do more good for the platform by doing stuff behind the scenes. Might not bring me stellar payouts like some of my posts did, but I think it's more important right now. Once I stopped being furious, ideas started to float up, and while my faith in the platform is still diminished, I have high hopes for the author community that developed here. I can see the flaws more clearly now and understand them.

Besides, taking this time off posting has done nothing but good to my follower number. I added close to 200 followers in the past week and a half and I am not very sure how that happened. :)
