Nice post, Randy. I just started Steemit this week and wrote my first post last night, so I found these tips to be very informative and useful.
What do you think about the @OriginalWorks bot? I saw that on another page and it seems an easy way to snag an upvote.
And now, a question: when you post, do you always check the auto upvote checkbox?
The @OriginalWorks bot has determined this post by @randystiefer to be original material and upvoted it!
To call @OriginalWorks, simply reply to any post with @originalworks or !originalworks in your message!
To enter this post into the daily RESTEEM contest, upvote this comment! The user with the most upvotes on their @OriginalWorks comment will win!

Special thanks to @reggaemuffin for being a supporter! Vote him as a witness to help make Steemit a better place!
Original works is great because it both gives you an upvote and confirms to your readers that you didn't just copy and paste from elsewhere.
I used to upvote myself everypost. Now instead I use Steem Follower to trade my votes on other posts for votes on my own. Here's the link:

Cool. Thanks, Randy.
