I am Steemit addicted, for at the moment, I think will be my lifetime! A few thoughts about Steemit and it's potential as there are some things I think would be really cool to have added! Here they are:
Is there any way to follow certain people as you do on Twitter. Say there is someone whose posts I love I want to be able to follow them so I can see there posts as they come!
Reddit is big sure, but YouTube is, as Trump would say, UUUuuuugggggge! If we want to get to the 100's of millions of users YouTube has I think having videos would be huge. People love videos, it reaches more of our senses than just words. Maybe growing the use of videos could go a long way! I know you can currently post videos, but is this site built to handle that? (I'm not a tech guy need help here!)
A profile page for individuals and a private messaging service. The profile page helps build the trust and reputation of an individual. I have already had an experience for wanting to connect with another user via private messaging to exchange contact info.
The combination of all of these attributes would make Steemit the ultimate one stop shop for social media. In my personal experience, Twitter is only good for it's speed and agility of delivering the latest news. Facebook is best for keeping in touch with people and friends, and creating a face for yourself on the web. Maybe these are bad ideas, but I think it's a great topic for discussion. Maybe some of this stuff exists if so please enlighten me!!! Regardless I'm super excited about the development of Steem and what's to come!
Good to have you hear we need more sports coverage
I would also love to see these features, especially the ability to follow interesting writers. I expect we'll see these features come out in the near future as Steemit is just getting started now. Exciting times ahead :)
I agree, it would be nice to be able to fallow people. Instead of random newsfeed. I feel that would encourage that person to keep pursuing quality comtent. Then again maybe it's the whales being smart in the sense of spreading the wealth...? For now, I'll assume it's just too new for that feature. Welcome to steemit! 🍻🙌🏻
