This is very true. I think it also creates a dilemma. I'm well aware that I won't really benefit from voting on a post after a whale - yet I still vote on them.
Why? Basically because I believe that if I like a post I will vote for it to show my support. I think that is part of the principle of using Steemit (for me at least).
My vote might not count for much now (or ever) but it is still my way of showing support and that I liked it and appreciated the time and effort that went into it.
Many people will think I'm stupid for doing that but that's just the way I am.
I see many posts that I'm 100% certain will never get upvoted enough to be worth it from a financial standpoint yet I think most people would agree it would be wrong to ignore them on that basis.
So If I'm going to be upvoting those kind of posts why not these?
So despite your post showing that at present you have nearly $900 - I have voted for it anyway.
