Here on steemit things are different. Content is not discoverable. Those who bring followers from youtube and other platforms earn a ton of money. The payment is high for limited but the earning window is just 7 days. Many people end up buying upvotes out of frustration.
Steemit is definitely a good platform but comes with a lot flaws.
