Don't get discouraged - keep posting quality & original content

Relax and look at this open field while thinking of your next post : ) There posts out there about people becoming discouraged and not wanting to create more content due to some posts being overvalued while many get lost in the shuffle. That is the last thing you want to do. The first thing you should know is that Steemit is the first decentralized social media platform ever. For people that have been into crypto and Bitcoin, it has been a long time coming waiting for an app or website that could potentially bring crypto to the masses. For those of you reading this post and have an account you are in early. New technology usually has its fair share of growing pains and it takes a bit of patience while it works itself out.

Another thing to consider is reading the White Paper, great information about the intent of the designers and how amazing it can be. Steemit is designed to handle unlimited users and unlimited content while being sorted out with algorithms that act in an almost empathetic way. Altruism in software is very new and has amazing capabilities when put to use. The issue right now is that there are a lot of early adopters that have significant amount of Steem Power making their voting weight significantly higher than new users. I believe this will change and it will change as more and more people come onto the platform. Right now Steemit has a fraction of the social media population. When people on the big social media platforms realize they can make money while sharing their original content with like minded people they will come in great numbers. As this happens, voting should balance out.

SUMMARY
Steemit is groundbreaking technology in its infancy and you have a front row seat. We are building the platform together everyday.

Continue to post things that are:

  1. Quality
  2. Original
  3. Something you are genuinely interested in
  4. Something that makes you feel good

If you follow the above you will enjoy yourself and not be concerned about monetizing your experience. It is cathartic to share and cathartic to reward, so this is a perfect place. If you keep posting while having fun then you have lost nothing and the money will follow. Laws of attraction will work in your favor : )

-The picture above is mine and it is a shot of a field in late spring in the midwest prior to planting corn. I did not photoshop out the power lines because I took it from the car window at 65 miles per hour and I am proud of that haha!!

What you said at the end is key. You lose nothing. I used to spend hours crafting the perfect post on reddit and they usually went nowhere anyway, and that was for made up karma

Encouragement. Positive. Farmland.

Upvoted :)

Post, vote, have fun and make a little money! Another good resource to help you with your postings is Steemit 101.

Yes, everything you said!

I totally agree with you people should learn how to be creative not just copy and paste article
nice post keep up the good work

Thank you, you as well :)

Thanks for this encouraging post. You hit the nail right in the head. Growing Pains. It's exactly what this turbulent time we're currently facing is. Once in a while you read success stories of people who gained a lot of money, and then you look at your own wallet to see that you barely even made a dollar. It's very conflicting. On one hand, you feel happy for them and be encouraged that it might happen for you. On the other hand, it's depressing to see your post sandwiched in between thousand-dollar posts before fading into obscurity, not even making a dent.

Instead of feeling like your post is a pebble thrown in a pond, with even the slightest effort making the tiniest of ripples, most of the time it just feels like a grain of sand in an ever-shifting desert.

Maybe it would be better to just realign your goals. If someone wants to just hit it big, make money and/or be noticed, then they have to be patient.

Thank you for such a thoughtful response. Keep on truckin' sums in up best.

Thank you for this optimistic post.I really hope you are right.I have only just made a post to introduce myself, and I look forward to making quality content on steemit. However, there is the problem that it´s hard to resist the temptation to upvote some posts that we might not consider to have much quality, simply because it seems like it will be profitable.I hope that the algoritms will be adjusted to favour altrusim and honesty more than now,and to favour strategic voting less.

Look forward to seeing your stuff :) thanks!

good article but you dont give the golden tip, to have whale friends
