When entering the Steemit space 3 years ago I didn't know anything about crypto, or blockchain technology. I've always been interested in alternative forms of social media and had a passion for creating content, those 2 things really drove me to explore the Steemit blockchain. I'm very glad I took the leap and explored the system, learned the ropes and now have a pretty solid understanding of various blockchain systems and coins.
The passion for creation and a different way to share it drove me to the Steemit platform and when I entered the space crypto was hitting it's all time apex. The massive 20k run which took the alt market by storm was in full effect as I was entering the space, this was good and bad for Steemit. The good aspect was Steemit thived with life, post and interactions. The amount of post and interactions on the Steemit blockchain was very high volume and the price for Steemit just kept rising. The bad aspect was a lot of people promoting or talking about Steemit a lot had "scammy" vibes. A lot of content was 100% about profit, which really made Steemit look like a scam to many people outside the crypto space. So while life was thriving, I'd argue a lot of that life was "fake" or scammy style post.
The market went into a wild roller coaster ride. The years following as everyone knows saw use drains in the market which caused massive strain on all alt coins,Steemit wasn't immune to this pain. In fact, I'd argue it might of felt the struggle more than many other coins. During the bull run many weak points of Steemit got over looked but the bear market things changed fast. It got ugly for awhile and attitudes got grim but in reality, I feel it was something that will end up helping the Steemit blockchain.
The changed made to the system over the last year have been very smart. It feel like Steemit is stronger at it's core than when we hit 20k BC. Yes, post are making less right now but I see more "real" post and less things that feel like total scams. I still see a few bad examples on the blockchain but overall the numbers have grown a lot less than in the past. I feel between these new systems and the cleaning of user base by the bear Steemit really has a strong foot hold right now.
I need to thank EVERYONE who has supported anything I've done over the last 3 years here within Steemit. You guys have helped me grow so much as a content creator, supporting my content in new ways not used but many content creators. I really can't thank you guys/girls enough.

Whatttt? It's been three years ? I have just realised I have been active for a bit more than 2 years. Too much have been going on!
Agreed with the good things have been happening during the bad timing and I'm sure it will keep thriving! :D
