WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT ON STEEMIT?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Yesterday I spent the entire day outdoor. That is very atypical of me, I spend most of my time indoors.

I visited a graphic designer, some animals in the zoo at the University of Ibadan and a couple who invited me to dinner because they wanted me to tell them more about Steemit. I met them during a Seminar where I was invited talk about Steemit on Sunday(two days ago).

I had to meet up with a graphic designer because I'm making an art presentation of Sundayselfies at Steemfest. I'm very pleased and flattered that I was asked by @everlove to make a submission for steemfest. I don't wanna give you full details of my Sundayselfies submission but it's really nice. I'll share the details about it in another post.

At the zoo entrance

In the afternoon I went to the zoological garden to take some snapshots for a Steemit combination photography contest. I already wrote about the trip here.

In the evening I visited Mr and Mrs Ogbonaya. They are a very lovely couple. I met them during a little seminar presentation I made about Steemit on Sunday(two days ago).

Making a presentation on Steemit

I'm going to share more about that in yet another post. I was really fascinated by the salad they put on my plate of rice(lol) and their knowledge of Cryptocurrencies. I have said it before. If you understand cryptocurrncies, you are automatically my friend and if you are on Steemit (lol) you are my brother.

We talked for hours sharing ideas and I shared my experience of Steemit to them. They were very fascinated by the whole idea and they are going to be joining us on Steemit very soon.

You can see that I obviously invest all my time in Steemit. Even when I am away, I'm still on Steemit. This is how addicted I have become. But it is a good addiction and it is well worth it. This is not how I usually spend my day. I'm usually indoors, making research, learning something from the internet, speculating on bittrex or socialing on Steemit. These days most of the things I do are somehow linked to Steemit. I figured that the people who really do a lot of work around here, do some of it or most of it offline or away form steemit.com. A lot of leaders have groups where they mentor newbies. Some Steemians like myself derive joy in marketing Steemit and wearing our Steemit shirt everywhere. It's not as if there is a direct incentive for marketing it, like a referral bonus or something. But like they say: 'when something is good, you gotta share it with others'. You can add value to Steemit even when you are not online.

How do you spend your day when you are not on Steemit. What do you do when you are offline. Please share some of your day with me in the comment section. I'll appreciate your comments with my humble and warm up upvote.

Thank you for reading.

Sundayselfies is a fantastic way to show love and give to the people you care about in Steemit.

It's a weekly selfie challenge that spans the entire week. It opens on Sunday and closes on Saturday.

That's pretty nice that you focus your activities outside of Steemit, to still be a part of your overall goals here! When I'm offline, I'm hanging out with friends, or am doing my homework xD More often then not, I'm exploring and learning new things to share here later, or doing research, and sometimes playing video games!

Yes, you have an addiction. Is it a problem? Not really. When you are determined to reach a goal, you begin aligning your plans to work together with it. Thanks for sharing about your adventure today, I always wonder what you are up to when you are not here!

@shello
U r awesome.

I learn from the best :3

I study, both for my classes and my game development. But I am trying to do more that I can blog about and share with everyone. So I am as addicted as everyone else haha!

You are going to steemfest!! yay!! If I am not on Steemit, I am podcasting and working on my blog (indoors) or feeding chickens, working in the garden, working at the Sustainable Living Center we are building, watching my grandkids, doing work with the California Rare Fruit Growers (I am on the board) sometimes teaching Yoga (which I want to do more off) and doing all the stuff which needs to be done to keep a household afloat (which I want to do less off:)
