ALthough I agree with you mate, I'd just like to point out a few things that will help people get over this initial bullshit:
Use Steemit to your advantage, by posting quality work that has links to your owned properties, examples being your website or blog just to name a few.
This bullet point coincides with the first one, and the reason why you do all those things, is because in order to gain new users, Steemit has opened the floodgates to some really awesome organic search result power.
Understand, that overtime, due to Steemit being a pay to win platform, that it will inevitably be ruined by hackers, scammers, and cheaters, so no matter what the punks did in the beginning, it won't matter, because people will eventually beat them at their own game.
Overtime, people will earn and buy Steem, which will eventually outpace the original scammers supply of Steem, which should inevitably even out the playing field.
When the Chinese start adopting Steemit in a massive way, they will dominate all of the top spots. They are the very best at manipulation, especially when it comes to platforms with the possibility to get paid without the need to put money in, so the platform will be ruined anyway, and not by these original punks who stole most of the Steem for themselves in the beginning either.
