So it looks like the Steemit.com website is currently DOWN. When you try to access the site you get this error.
504 Gateway Time-out
It may be a DDoS attack but I have no way of verifying that.

I wondered because I try access my steemit blog and I encountered the same problem which led me to conclude that maybe that my server is not strong without knowing that is a general problem. Thanks for updating us.
