Thanks so much for sharing this information @erikah I had noticed a decline and wondered what I was doing wrong. I often pick up my ipad at night and catch up on comments etc whilst watching........or more correctly, listening to TV. I prefer to use my PC because it is easier on my eyes. They tend to miss a lot on smaller versions.

Here are factors to be considered;
More than 8000 users post through eSteem app, and around 1800-2000 posts get Upvotes daily and we plan to double that number soon, from this I believe you can see Upvotes are not guaranteed for anyone.

You are likely being ignored by our filters... try to gain some reputation 30+ and followers, we will lower filters more once we have better voting mechanism to handle 8000-10000 user posts.

Some abusers or multi account users if reported by steemcleaners are added to ignore list

It looks like you may have misunderstood me as I am familiar with all those factors you've provided me with me as you sent them to me before signing up with esteem. I simply meant that, like @keithboone, I had noticed a slight downturn in the amount I had been previously been getting and now that I know that using other devices makes that difference, I will use my PC for commenting etc. I'm loving the esteem app and they have been very supportive........so no complaints there.

Dear Trudee, it's not the device that counts but the app!! You can make a post on your laptop and then edit on your phone or tablet or any device you want to use, that's fine as long as you use esteem both times. Esteem surfer or esteem mobile, it counts as one.
You can check your post URL and you'll see that there a long line of number and three letters. If you're using esteem, your letters will be est.
I don't edit on my ipad and my phone is too small for me to keep up to date with social media stuff Erika. But I was commenting quite a bit from my ipad but using steemit app. That was making the difference, so I did appreciate the information you shared with us. Its all a learning process isn't it? .
Trudee, can't you download esteem on your iPad? I'm not familiar with iPads.
If you're commenting a lot, you should benefit from it.
Oh yes.....I have downloaded the esteem app on my ipad but I don't find it very user friendly but that is only because I got used to the steemit one Erika. I also prefer the bigger screen of my PC to do my editing on. My eyes become strained on smaller screens.
