the developers supporting segwit2x have there own agendas
the other factions and groups have ties to mastercard and major banks.
we need to support bitcoin core. bitcoin is the pioneer. for now
i have been invested in dan and stan from angelshares to bitshares and steemit and EOS. i believe any of these coins from dan and stan will eventually be bigger than bitcoin. but until then bitcoin is a pioneer and we should all be informed about the banks and corporations that ar trying to take control of bitcoin!!
awesome work!! by the way !! you ROCK connie!!!
Thank you @tt-dogg. Its good to get feedback form others to know how one is doing.
Plus glad to hear good feedback on @stan and @dan. my spidy senses tell me the same!

I agree with your sentiment, but I disagree that Bitcoin core remains true to the original disruptive vision held by those who invented Bitcoin and grew adoption of it as an alternative currency.
The problem I see with Bitcoin core is that it is driven by Blockstream, who is financed by strong banking interests. I like Bitcoin Gold's approach of returning to decentralized mining based on GPU, but at this point it is vaporware and it may be quite some time (if ever) before the project produces results. In general I don't believe PoW (Proof of Work) is a sustainable or efficient method of securing the blockchain.
Blockstream has also disclosed they hold patents on some blockchain technology and it is clear they have no apprehension about locking in their proprietary IP (Intellectual Property) away from others. This is contrary to the Open Source approach which is decentralized with many contributors so there is no single point of failure or leader with a target on their back.
The biggest challenge for any crypto project is to gain that elusive network effect. Many people, including myself, will continue to use Bitcoin core until some other project is able to gain merchant acceptance. Besides Bitcoin, Dash is probably 2nd in its' popularity as a currency and it has a looooooong way to go to catch up with Bitcoin.
I am excited about the potential for blockchain technology to provide a truly free global market outside of the control and manipulation caused by governments. My pessimism grows as I see more people come into the crypto space who A) are socialists, B) are people heavily vested in a status quo lifestyle, C) are people that are quick to give up freedom for their sense of safety (which is probably only an illusion of safety), D) have only minor concerns about the safety and integrity the banking system and economy, and E) look to daddy government rather than take responsibility themselves. My pessimism grows as I encounter people who's goal is only to make money and who don't care about or don't realize how precarious the economy is to collapse.
My pessimism grows as I see the crypto space evolve and take on more mainstream qualities, which looks like a repeating cycle, like too few people have learned the lessons from the previous cycle.
My optimism is not dead though, knowing that changing society only requires an active and dedicated minority to challenge and lead the majority to better ways to live. I will do my part to help build freedom promoting alternatives so humanity can rise above the oppression and reach its full potential of creativity.
Ooooh, more great points @full-steem-ahead.
How do you feel about EOS, Hero's, and Bitchares..? Do you see them doing some of the things you re looking to see?
