The ONLY real downside I've found is the search function is not very good- an account I helped set up won't even come up in search EXPLICITLY? THAT'S lame.
The only reason I'm ever going to use FB, G+, and the other sites anymore is to offer my friends and fellow creatives an outlet that's less exploitative.
