We are leaving behind our footprints on the sands of time,
Which we know will eventually be washed away.
But the marks that we leave on your soul;
Call them scars if you may, but trust me they won’t go.
We aren’t leaving alone, taking a piece of you along.
It’s only fair since we gave ourselves to you as well.
The harder you try to hold on to us,
The faster we’ll slip away.
So just let us go,
And we shall find our way back home.
Goodbyes are for those who love with their eyes.
But since you are engraved in my heart,
Tell me how could I?
It’s time, to come out of the shadows;
Time to take a leap, a leap of faith.
So let’s dust our wings and make them strong
‘Cause the journey ahead will be long.
Remember, that haters will always hate
But since we are believers, we’ll write our own fate.
New times are here, new people they bring,
New places to visit, new memories to make.
But it doesn’t mean that we’ll just let you fade;
For wherever we go, our hearts will always beat for you.
