I wanted to show how there are tons of companies that deliver similar content, but never in the same manor as Steem. I was explaining to my mother how steem worked and she told me, "Well it is like a blog, if it is successful you will get revenue through ads from the people who visit." And that made me think, because not only does steem not need ads to support it, you don't need to be a successful regular blogger to share an opinion or try out this idea. You don't have to have some contract with an ad revenue company like google to make money once your blog is big (If it ever becomes big). I wanted to iterate how different this is from anything we know. This is not one website, this is not a blog, and this is not Facebook. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your post. It is wonderful that your post led me to get a bit philosophical on the nature of Steemit. I'm also excited to see what other peripheries linked to steem will come about.
I am very excited as well. I just know if there is enough money or a big enough community there are endless ways to expand.
I believed that the sky is the limit, so in layman terms there is no end to this new and great idea.
