My rooster I created from a couple of twigs or branches fallen off a tree.
Good morning, afternoon, good evening, my fair stemians,How is your Thursday, Friday, going or went ? I say this because as few of you know I live in Australia. I don't yet know where my readers are coming from. I once read a really cool poem and due to me not wanting to infringe on copyrights and all.
One more push of the blade and the work is finished the person took something completely thrown away discarded and seemingly of no use. With some creative inspiration it became a beautiful piece of art.I have carved or as I call it whittled for a decent part of my life I am not a master {understatement} but back to the poem it spoke to me and I was like "yeah I can do that I will find my piece of wood and carve out what is hiding inside."
Well the branch I found was ordinary I just looked for a few things it had to be a sound piece of wood no big cracks or cavities from bugs . It was just lying there like it wanted me to pick it up so I did and began working on something I had seen before so even though the ideas were not 100 % mine I was creating and inspired. It took a while cause I only wanted to work while I had the inspiration I really enjoyed how each day it was taking form I must have sharpened my knife a dozen times. The knife I used was a little pen knife nothing super special other then it was a good carbon blade that held an edge well and the blades were small that way I could get some fine details in the wood.
Oh I finished it! it was beautiful to me and I painted it with some acrylic water based paint and threw some lacquer on it just to keep the paint on it a bit longer.
Then I set it up in front of my laptop and took a few pictures.
So in closing keep your heart open to inspiration and use it as a tool create practice creating try to get out of the habit of criticizing every one can teardown and break things. It takes practice and inspiration to create things and the more you do it you will find a creation muscle developing inside you.
Don't let fear and disappointment cripple you. Anyone can make things may it be good bad or ugly eventually the things you make will become better. it takes excitement enthusiasm passion and combining that you will make things inspired and lead you to success to what you are doing be it a steemit blog a video a song whatever it is make sure it is something you enjoy doing that way you already have your reward
