RE: Steemit Vs. Twitter

in #steemit7 years ago

Twitter is a marketing platform really. The only ones tweeting are companies and people who get paid to tweet.

I use it to promote my Steemit posts and to contact some companies (webcare).

The character limit also doesn't allow you to really create interesting posts. Statistics also show that Twitter is having a hard time to grow, I believe they're not making profit as well. So the platform is kind of dead.

Can't compare it with Steemit though, it's like comparing apples with pears. Steemit is a blogging platform, lacks some features but the upvoting aspect makes up a lot of course. It's still in beta as well and it keeps improving. I no longer blog on my own website or post directly on Facebook for that matter. I'm posting on Steemit only and I 'resteem' my posts to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

However they're both really being used for similar ideas, and reaching out on a global scale.

They are comparable, you just said you cannot compare two spices of fruit. Sure you can, this will ensure you find the one you most enjoy.
