THANKS for explaining delegation. I did not really get it before. However, I wonder whether you have slightly contradicted yourself in what you said about being generous with your upvote - while warning people about conserving bandwidth? As a newbie, if you upvote too many times, surely you would run out of bandwidth quicker? I agree with the sentiment that you should still vote even if your vote isn't worth much, but I think you should still be careful with your vote and only vote on posts that deserve the recognition.
On another topic, totally true what you said about engaging with comments that people leave on your posts. I've found it so discouraging when I've put time into posting a long comment on someone else's post, only to get no response whatsoever. It really makes me consider unfollowing them when engaging with their posts is unsatisfying for me. Also I notice some of the top Steemians such as @gringalicious reply to each and every comment they get, even if it's only to say thanks for commenting. I'm sure it's part of why they retain such a huge following.
Ahh, well, don't go spamming upvotes. My message there was for the ones who leave their VP at 100%. Surprisingly there are quite a few that leaves their upvote VP at 100% and not giving, while some don't even know how many VP they have left. But I do agree that you should only vote posts that are of quality and not be stingy about it. I would say, be generous & smart about it. Smart in checking your bandwidth & the post you upvote.
Thank you for dropping by :)
Wow yeah not voting at all surely seems to be missing the point of being part of Steemit. It can be tricky to find out your VP and bandwidth. I found out about some of the websites you can check by stalking other people's comments. :D Maybe something to include in your next survival guide? Thanks for the good and informative post!
OMG @victoria-kelly! I can't believed I missed adding the website to check your bandwidth out! I've added it into the post. Thanks again.
