Even the communities around prominent economics sites like https://mises.org are not well versed in cryptocurrency. So it's hard to gain much of FB/TWTR users into something new and revolutionary like steemit.
Even average results is better than nothing. Have you tried getting already popular people into steemit and DTube. By this I mean people like @sgtreport @dollarvigilante etc.
If you already have some influence in mainstream platforms, try convincing few such popular people to join steemit. We can use silicon valley censorship to our advantage.
