Steemit is yet another social community which helps you increase your popularity but...

...but if money also follows in the way then why refuse taking it?

The real reason why I joined Steemit

I was fed up with my facebook and twitter accounts where most of the people there follow and "like" each other without feeling any need to engage with your content, waiting for your free service to come up. Somehow, on some degree, I enjoy the fact that people here do not really care about free, tarot services.

The second reason why I joined Steemit

It's different and it works in a strange way which I haven't really understood yet but somehow I like it because I am a mystery seeker and this is exciting when seeing it from my own psychological perspective, at least.

The third reason why I joined Steemit

I may be rewarded for my efforts to offer my knowledge on spiritualism to a wide community and I felt very happy sharing my business story and getting very interesting responses by other users who may also be rewarded even for commenting someone else's posts.

It is not just about the money.

Although it seems that it is and for some people it is but not for me. I love being recognised for my tarot services and I would like to gain popularity but as it seems Steemit is a great community which at some point has very little things to offer on topics related to spirituality.

At this moment I feel like playing ball inside an empty stadium and sometimes it gets more and more boring...

I have started an effort to promote the Steemit community to my 1.000+ followers on twitter (also on facebook) and I am hoping that very soon with my own efforts and the efforts of all respectful Steemit users this community will grow faster. However I would really love seeing spirituality blooming like a flower as fast as possible.

I am an introvert person by nature and yet I don't enjoy feeling lonely inside this "empty stadium" because this network is social, if you get what I mean...

Supporting Steemit is like supporting a cause and if we do not decide to support each other this community will fail to accomplish its true purpose.

The reality

Making money on Steemit - a decentralised platform - is like open-minded people are trying to "share" money with each other and not making money only to support themselves.

Revolutions take place to change the world and people who start them, they first care about the greater good but if we still care only about ourselves, unfortunately we will fail one more time to accomplish our true purpose.

Money is good as long as you have what it takes to live a descent life, that's what my parents have taught me even though my grandmother used to think money as the only way to be happy in life.

Of course I want more money but I do not want to be like my grandmother. Let her rest in piece. I prefer living a descent life by using honest means to reach an end. I guess that either way I was not born to be the shark but I was also not born to live like a sheep. I would prefer thinking myself as an eagle.

Great Post!

Thank you. I am really happy that you liked my post. Sometimes I can't help but being very emotional...I am glad that people really get what I am saying.

The main reason I joined was cash. However, now that I've started using it, I've changed my reasoning. Now, I get to read all kinds of cool content. If I like it, I can comment on it, upvote it and someone gets a few bucks kicked their way and I get a couple of bucks myself.

It is a good practice to reward someone if he/she truly deserves it and also be rewarded for expressing your appreciation on content that you find really interesting.

That really hits home. Im here for pretty much the same reason, but also to share. I think sharing with your twitter followers is a good idea. Especially sendingthem your url of the posts. I think we'll see you grow alot here. And the money will come.
Be that Easgle!

Thank you. I hope that at some point Steemit will give the opportunity to all those who deserve to grow.

Like you, I looked at steemit because it is something very different than anything else that has been done before. I have said it before, and I will say it again -- this has the potential to be a truly revolutionary platform. I think one reason that I am adopting this more than I every have adopted the likes of facebook is that there is less clickbait! When there is clickbait, it is usually downvoted enough that it become irrelevant. The only thing that troubles me so far is that there is so much good (non steemit-related) material that just doesn;t get visibility.

That's true and I am hoping that more people with great material will finally decide to join our community. This is one of the most important things in my opinion.

'Supporting Steemit is like supporting a cause'
---------->Well said! Enough of the old greedy social medias already!
GREEDY not only on PROFIT, but also on every possible PERSONAL INFORMATION they can get.

I totally agree with you. Together we can all stop these greedy networks!

Your pictures are beautiful. This is my first day here and I'm still trying to figure out how everything works. It's an interesting concept and there is great potential. It would be great to be able to share something meaningful and earn at the same time.

Thank you of your kind words. There is potential for Steemit to grow but we have to keep on supporting it as a community where we are able to share our great ideas on all kind of topics. You can almost any kind of beautiful free, pictures to "decorate" your post here: https://pixabay.com/

Good points. I also joined this community for other reasons besides the money factor but I find that learning about crypt o currency is interesting and see it as a side benefit. Good Posts. I'm still learning to use the stackeditor. Have a good day !

Don't worry, I am also trying to figure out what Steemit is all about. I would say that cryptocurrency market is more than just interesting. I'd say that it is revolutionary . But there are a lot of people who still don't have the slightest idea what a bitcoin is, let alone Steem or any other popular crypto-coin ..I guess.
