I am going to tell you a Steemian Story, mine...
Last time STEEM dropped, I was new to the platform and I still remember how I panicked. I had faith in the platform but the price was dropping everyday!
STEEM was at c.65$.
As time passed, I was earning less in $$$ and I began to post less and less.
Guess What happened next?
A few weeks later, STEEM price rocketed and I was relieved but I had missed an opportunity. As price drop, people not serious enough in their STEEM journey either drop the platform or post less.
This is the WORST thing to do. These times are an occasion, either to put capital in by buying STEEM and powering up or posting more and get fewer USD but more STEEM that will just make you more powerful as the price recovers.
If you enjoy posting, keep doing it and you'll see these times are the best one to either invest or create great content. If you believe in the platform, you should also use Bots during this time to boost your earnings and SP earned.

how do you us Bots ?
Go to steembottracker.com and choose a bot. Make a bid and depending on other buyers you will get a % upvote from the bot.
Make sure not to pay too much and keep an eye on the timer.

This is exactly what I've been thinking as I've seen other people stop posting as much as usual. My only regret is not having enough capital on the side to be able to buy a load of Steem at these bargain prices!

Yessir good insights for the steem community, take this as an opportunity to learn and to grow.... especially when that price spikes to ATH's. I have a feeling steem price is set to soar in the coming weeks, just hodl on and watch it happen!!

I experienced the same scenario when steem was below $1 last year. Now i do not panic because i know that the price is higher compared to when i joined this amazing community
I have the same feeling, I learned and am now very relaxed about it.
Very true we cannot let our greed discourage us with short term prospects when the goal is longterm rewards generation.
Cant stop when its down. Matter fact down meams buy buy buy.
Steem is in its infancy and if SMT can ever get launched it will skyrocket
SMT would be great, unfortunately we did not hear from it lately...

Although the market seems to have picked up quite considerably so hopefully we have been through the worst of it now. Wish I had more fiat to capitalize on the opportunity.

I had the same experience too but I'm wiser now, trying to work harder so I can have enough coins by the time the dip is over.
The only issue is that the drop has been so long that I've had to sell off some of my portfolio.
Interesting about using bots at this time. I thought the opposite - they were becoming less profitable because rewards are decreasing. Thanks for the top if the price goes up and I have more SP my account will be worth more :)
Huge, huge, huge opportunity here. A few people might become whales as a result or maybe whales get even bigger too I think.

I've had to pull back a smidge for other external reasons, but am still plugged in with the same mind. I made similar mistakes last summer, and it's just worth it to stick around, build your SP, your audience, and keep collecting a bit of STEEM and SBD in case it spikes again. Especially at this point - it's just worth the possibility of growth.

I did something similar to you as well ... when Steem/SBD prices were low between October to November ... I had post less during that time ... which was a mistake.
But now that Steem/SBD has been dropping in the past month .. I've actually been posting much more often .. .so I'm not making that same mistake again.
We are still early in the SteemIt community game ... hasn't even launched full wide to the general public so we good :)
