Steemit Traffic Data, Engagement and other Metrics! [Monthly Update]

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Thanks to ALL of you, Steemit is growing fast as the following datas shows:
We reached 16,14mn visits in July ALONE

I] Traffic

Steemit website is ranked 2,536 worlwide and 1,386 in the US
Steemit kept on improving its ranking as was ranked 12,000+ last year.

Steemit Traffic share by country

The strongest traffic growth came from Germany with +29.31% visits

Mobile Traffic is catching up fast as it represents 43.41% of the total
This is useful to know how people use the Steem platform. Initiatives like eSteem (mobile app) will probably help the community to grow on mobile phones.

II] Marketing Mix

How people come on the platform is very useful, most come directly (members), through organic search (Quality posts will help us attract more and more visitors over time) or through Social (Facebook, Twitter...) and referrals (mostly forum such as Reddit, Github...)

Facebook represents 43.4% of all the social platform incoming traffic
This could be showing a sign of mass adoption.

Here are the 5 most searched terms on Google that lead to Steemit.com

What are Steemians main interests?

III] Steemit website metrics

This is a collective achievement and I would like to congratulate all of us !
Special congratulation to @jerrybanfield who raised money to make ads on Facebook which I think helped us to reach new users.

You can find his last Ad on Facebook here:

It would be very kind of you to Upvote, Comment or Resteem so we can make the entire Steemit community of this great achievement.

These facts and numbers further reiterate that Steem is indervalued. If steemit can retain the new users for the next couple of months it will be a takeoff mode.

Exactly, the entire ecosystem is begging for a higher STEEM price!

Love this analysis! Will be following it monthy. Hope we get the S curve and dethrone Facebook soon! Just take a look at the chart below and you'll see the potential!

Great metrics @Vlemon! I am happy that I was able to be part of that growth.

You have been a part of the media management for Steem but I hope you will still be a part of the Steemit community.
I don't want to bring up the subject but I'm guessing this was not done in "the best way possible" for you... As often...
I just discovered Steemit 2 weeks ago, and this has been a great experience so far.
Thank you also for the upvote, following you now :).

Within top 1000 websites in both UK and South Korea. Amazing.

It has been growing very fast during the past 2 months and I would expect it to continue with a busy September ahead!

I think it grew fast in May-June and has been declining since (you can see this with on-chain metrics, Google Trends and Google Analytics). Websites like Alexa seem to lag on actual traffic, I assume they are using moving averages or something similar.

You are right on Alexa, this is a moving average but on SimilarWeb it is raw data (number of visits) so it should be accurate in my opinion.
Thank you for the Upvote btw. I saw that your are going to SteemFest, enjoy for all of us ;).

Am glad I witnessed and participated in this great social media platform that is highly under valued and its a great thing because we are going to become whales b4 it reaches main stream fully 😁

Same here, I can't wait :).
