With so much uncertainty in the crypto world, one thing is for sure; STEEM could really see some growth by the end of the year. Here are three reasons why STEEM could out perform other major coins by the end of the year.
1. More Interest In Crypto In General
It started this past May, but now with the fork coming for Bitcoin, a lot of people are talking about cryptos. When people go to look for information on Bitcoin, Crypto, or Cryptocurrency, then they are likely to find a blog on Steemit. STEEM actually creates a product in a sense, and that is content. That content will be seen by more and more people as crypto becomes more popular. I don't know of another site that puts out as much crypto news daily as Steemit.
The more views, the more traffic and the influx of interest into the Steemit platform should push the coin up in value. It has a product when so many other coins don't really get used for much.
2. Exchange For Services
I have used Bitcoin to buy into a poker site back in 2012, but other than that, I've never used it to make a transaction. You know what I do use? STEEM and SBD. I have sent both to pay for services from people like @randowhale and bought images and graphics from fellow STEEMONIANS. I have used STEEM or SBD to pay for more transactions than any other coin. I know I'm not like most crypto people, but I bet I'm like most Steemonians.
The point is, the coins are used for actual payments of goods and services. As the community rises and more people use STEEM and SBD and exchange on site, then the more the value should go up.
3. The Value In Powering Up When STEEM Is Low
There are a lot of Steemonians who jumped at the chance to get more STEEM at $1 to use to power up. There are a lot of people who believe in Steemit and are putting their money in to prove it. People are investing in STEEM for an actual reason. They are not just buying a coin and putting it in a wallet, they are actually buying STEEM because there is a real value to having it on Steemit.
With more people powering up, and buying into STEEM then the value should go up. I think it will take a little while to start moving up dramatically, but I think it is a good time to be in STEEM... at least that is my thinking.

I definitely think it will raise, the $4 at the end of the year sounds pretty reasonable but I think it may even exceed our expectations if we give it some more time, every single day more people are learning about cryptos and steemit is also being spread wildly, sooner or later people will understand that this is part of the future.

Number 3 - Some people invest in crypto and then keep the money in the wallet until it goes up in value. With Steem Power, you earn interest by having STEEM powered up into SP and by having more, you actually can make more with rewards, there is an actual benefit to having more SP. It is much more valuable than just having something like ripple ore monero or even Ethereum in a wallet.

I Love STEEMIT it is what I am going to concentrate my efforts to now at this point in my life. It is a Great Way to share with others and for those that join and create content to profit from it.

As a beginner would you say its important to have SBD in your wallet for such services right now I have been converting all mine into SP????
I keep a couple of bucks in my wallet for purchases, but Every $25 I convert to SP. I did take $25 our to convert to Bitcoin when it was low recently, but that was it. All of mine goes back to SP.
If Bitcoin goes to $10K then STEEM would be worth $5 each :P
10K bitcoin would be awesome. Yes, if that is the case, I bet Steem would be at least around $5. I think we are still a little ways off from 10K bitcoin, but you are right.

Absolutely agree with you 100% the best thing STEEM has going for it is there is it actually produces something unlike the majority of cryptocurrencies. I've been seriously considering selling my custom kydex sheaths here because I think a marketplace for people to use their SBD would increase the value even more.
I certainly hope it does. One day people who use sites such as facebook and post excellent content for free will realise that they can do so much better on Steemit - and on that day, the currency will explode in value. Excellent post :)
Agree, Steem will definitely rise. Not only time to buy Steem a convert to SP, but time to share Steemit. I think we are only in the low 200k for members... The more Steemians, the more SP, the more Steem. Spread the word (or Steem). Encourage growth and Steem On!
