It is tough when starting. You post great content and it only gets a couple of views and makes no money. Want to fix that? It is simple. There is really only one way to do that without investing a couple thousand into STEEM Power. Do you want to know what it is?
Here it is...
Keep doing what you are doing.
That's right. Keep doing what you are doing.
It is as simple as that. If you think you are putting out good content, then keep doing it. Most people fail because they give up before they can have a real chance to win.
Winning on Steemit is simple. Provide good unique content, reply and engage with others and you will succeed. The only thing is you have to do it everyday and keep it up.
It is like losing weight. On paper it is the easiest thing in the world. Just exercise, drink water and eat healthy. It's simple, but many are still overweight... myself included. lol.
Why is that? It is because it is hard and not a priority. If you want to make money, you have to put in the work and really provide good unique content, reply and engage with others and do it daily. It isn't something that happens over night.
Most people start getting frustrated at the two week mark. I do the same with working out. I go solid for two weeks then I ease off because I am not seeing the results I want. The problem is the timeline that I am working under. Two weeks isn't enough time to really see substantial results for 95% of new Steemonians.
Just keep doing what you are doing and then come talk to me in three months and see where you are. Just put in the work and the dedication.
To be honest, this blog has made me rethink how I try to lose weight so I am going to really apply the same theory to my workouts. Because if I can do well on Steemit, I can do the same thing with my weight. It just takes dedication and time.

I had a different point I wanted to make with this blog but the losing weight example came out naturally and so I re-titled it and re-worked it a little. It makes sense, lol. Now I just need to lose weight. Thanks again for the support. It means a lot.
Good post. It's hard to keep coming up with good content to constantly be putting out. I'm going to start approaching it like you would as if going to the gym. Back and Bi's, chest and tri's, then leg day. Come up with GOOD ideas to write about, put them down on paper and write the content up for specific days throughout the week. It's the only way i'm going to get BIG!
That is great to hear. Yeah it takes some effort and planning. I time my day around putting in work on Steemit. I work for myself, so that makes it a little easier but whatever time you spend should be spent in combination posting and replying and then replying on other people's stuff. Good luck. You're so right in that statement, you need to continue to be able to be successful. Many people have been here doing the exact same thing for week over a year doing the same, even when they made mere 1 figure dollar power post! It's just recent that the posts have gone up with the change of voting distribution. Now everyone wants to join for a quick buck 😆
Remember that learning is something you're never done with. You are never fully learned and every day is a day to learn something new. The staircase never ends 😋

Also, just so you know, I am trying to get a time when the Food Bank is open and I can take my kids with me to deliver food. I bought it all last week and planning on delivering with family this week since they don't have camp.

Your advice is so helpful. I just started with Steemit and after my first three blogposts received only one upvote among the three of them and no comments, I am almost ready to quit. And like you say, the frustrating thing is that I know that this content is valuable. It took me years to learn this wisdom about principles to keep from losing your money, and yet no one commented. Just keep doing what you are doing and be realistic about expectations. If it was easy to make a lot of money on here, then it would be as popular as Facebook, but it isn't. It takes some work but I know you can do it. Keep doing what you are doing.

The first part I get, but if you engage and comment with others daily and they don't even look at your blog is frustrating. However, losing the first 30 pounds is just as hard as the last 5 pounds. So keep it up is what i hear you yelling back... Okay, okay coach!
It is frustrating. One thing that helped me when I first got here is I spent my first two weeks reading and replying to people rated over 50. Now I put a lot more work into the newer people to help them out, but at first I only read the content of the successful people on here. Just by engaging with them every day for two weeks got me noticed by a lot of bigger voters. I didn't ask for anything. I never once asked them to check out my post. I simply found about 20 people that I really liked their content and that were ranked 50+ and I replied to their daily posts each day. Even now I go and post and reply. I don't ask for anything, that is important. I just engaged and they took notice and most of them have returned the favor one way or another. Some are very loyal supporters of mine and I try to return the favors. I hope that helps. Be strategic. Read posts to learn things and read posts to get noticed in a way. I hope that helps. One of the things I love in this life is meeting people and learning about new things and how other people perceive the world. I also like helping people. It is strategic and finding pathways to success often are. Look beside each name and there is a number in a circle. You are 43. I just went to the Trending page and the hot pages and found people over 50 that were publishing content that interested me. I never faked, it which is important. I am genuinely interested. Hope that helps.
I have noticed your votes for sure. Another thing that I do is take the top couple of people that vote on my content that don't respond, and go to their blog and read and reply. I then thank them for recently upvoting and I wanted to come and return the favor. I have found that also brings people back. It takes time and work, but it pays off.

Your rating is based on value and participation basically. The more successful you are the higher your rank. 43 is awesome for just starting. It really is, just keep doing what you are doing. Once you start getting to 48 and 49 it starts really slowing down how fast you move up. Then it just takes time and value. I am so glad that I can help. hit me up anytime. Advice is what I do.
