I have been following the voting process for about a week now (quite intensively I would say). Perhaps I am wrong but I have the idea that users that have a reputation of 65+ are upvoted mindlessly, just because they have a large reputation. Of course, they have not earned this reputation for nothing, but voting seems to become degraded if rep count is the only thing that counts.
Perhaps the HF19 fork scheduled for tomorrow 20 June 2017 will change this behaviour. Until then, join the wisdom of the crowd.
Agreed. I'm all for posts being voted on based on content, not solely on who the writer is.
Bro nice written
Keep it up
I wouldn't say you are +65 rep but I still upvoted (and i'm just under 50)
That deserves a follow (yes, that other particular behaviour).
Most people don't even read the post. This blind-voting annoys me
Yes. The Hard Fork may change this because votes of lower ranking Steemers will pack more clout
Being quite new to Steem, I have noticed that some of the comments to my posts get way more likes than my actual posts...
This makes no sense to me whatsoever, when the comment is actually a positive comment about my post.
Agreed...and don't get me started on the people using bots to auto-up-vote the 65+ users.
It seems Human nature cannot be outrun.
