Fake Introduce yourself posts are going out of hand .

As steem is expanding and news of it paying its members millions of dollars is spreading a new type of nuisance is creeping in

A sure shot way to earn rewards is to post in introduceyourself category but lately people are exploiting it by taking pics from net and just photo-shopping verification For eg

Look at this post  ( thanks @ nimblebodhi  for catching it)

There are many more examples of these type of posts. I think we need a stronger mechanism to stop this exploit.

I propose a selfie with your laptop/ PC screen with your username displayed on it.

Keep on Steeming Guys!

How about a certain Steem posture the have to have on the photos or a rare combination of objects. Say a toothbrush in one hand and a spoon in the other. Any more suggestions, Steemers?

This is a pretty good idea. And while the above instance was a pretty poor photoshop attempt that should have been obvious, there are plenty of people who can do a much better job in which they'll look authentic. The special pose or combo of things would certainly be an improvement over the typical photo time-stamp.

I also think just doing a quick video, like a vid.me or something where you directly address the Steemit community should be sufficient to demonstrate authenticity.
