RE: The Thick and Thin: Prune the dead wood

in #steemit7 years ago

It is to clean out the feed and restructure it for better content and most importantly, better people.

Good timing for me to read this post...
My main goal the past few days is getting rid of the resteem bots / accounts from my feed.

  • I originally had thought this would be a good way to find new people and interesting posts from outside my "circle."
    • But, these resteemers took over my feed and I did not get to see my circle. So I'm 1 by 1 removing them.
      • As I move forward, thanks for the heads up @tarazkp, I will keep this in mind as I continue pruning the people I've followed.
      • I have not noticed any difference in the core set of people I like to interact with. Guess that's a good thing...
I was using https://steemstats.com to see my feed (with additional handy info.)

These 'services' are useless.

Yeah, I pretty much thought so.

  • I followed a few my first week here on Steemit, thinking I might want to use them someday. I never paid for any.
    • There were a couple of people who posted they would resteem for free. I did that a few times, but decided it wasn't worth me resteeming them, messing up my feed, for them resteeming me...
      • Probably had to upvote their post too...
