I have used steem / ETH as a gauge and in my post, many days ago, the ratio was 241 steem / ETH. The highest ratio recorded by me was just over 300 steem / ETH.
Currently, the exchange ratio is 263.762 steem / ETH - not the highest and not the lowest in recent days.
It is good to not worry about the value in USD except to look for opportunity to "buy low" and Power Up - as I have a few times at 264, 268, and 286 steem / ETH. I did not do so at 300/1 ETH though - a short time window that it lasted, seconds.

at one point my account was worth three times what it is now and I've made steem since. It's just a bit shocking.
I know its just an opinion, but I have good feelings about the future of crypto, so we all just need to be patient and not worry :)

I understand. Some day, it will be just a blip in the growth of steemit.com and steem & SBD. I believe that it will be worth a lot more.
Does this mean alt coins will go up? I heard that it's usually vice-versa?
I guess it's hard to say.
Yes that was probably a silly question :)
It seems that when Bitcoin drops in price, that most of the other Cryptocurrencies drop in price as well, but I don't know why that happens...
