Debate on Privacy / General Supervision

For some time in our society we have begun to worry about something more and more important: our private life. This debate will aim at that each one gives his own opinion on the general supervision of the companies and the state, is it really useful?

The genesis

It all started with the Snowden case. Edward Snowden was an NSA computer scientist who worked as a sysadmin, discovering their general monitoring program. Edward Snwoden is shocked he decides to reveal over 1200 (approximately) documents to The Guardian reporters may after legal proceedings have been Carried out, he was on the run for more than 2 weeks if he surrendered he would be subjected to the death penalty for dissemination of secret documents defenses. He has now obtained a right of residence and is now in Russia as a political refugee.

Surveillance in France

Since 2015/2016 France to adopt several law on intelligence that pushes this to ask questions look certain of the devices of these laws:

Installation of black boxes: In ISPs like orange, telecom bouygues etc ... Which allows to monitor all the traffic of a network.

Request for access to identifiers: Any person suspected through intelligent machines that allows to retrieve certain keywords

This poses a real problem, because if you do not want to be spied you have to be spying, and if you let yourself be spied.

My opinion: I think that general supervision is not a bad thing if it is and only if it is used for good purpose and not censure for example certain ideas or for commercial purpose. But it should not be forgotten that it also poses big political problems, when other state spies etc. ... Like the 2011 election when the Americans spied different party to know their real political goals.
