RE: Stop Making Steemit All About the Money, It Won't Work - And Other Ranting About What Sucks About Steemit

I found the "circle jerk" posts to be annoying, too. I mean, Steem/steemit related posts have always received big payouts and a lot of attention but about a month or two ago those "advice to newbies" posts were out of control. I literally stopped following some of the authors I formerly enjoyed because I couldn't stand their sudden, newfound love for "helping out" the new members. As if new people can't figure it out like the rest of us. From a psychological standpoint it reminded me of a child's developmental stage where they realize they are an individual and become captivated with the self. It was like Steemit (through its users) was just staring at itself in the mirror admiring its reflection.

So are you saying that you think the new interest in the new members is because they know they are vulnerable ( the new ones are vulverable)? And they are just pretending to care because there are so many new people joining that they concerned that the new ones are floundering and want to sway the new "minnows" to follow them ?
