DONT'T MISS WHEN YOU HAVE TIME TO READ IT

The first few days on Steemit can be both exciting and frustrating. You get excited knowing about the platform and its potential. You start blogging hoping to become the next whale. You don't see the response you were expecting on your posts.

You wait, you get restless and then you get frustrated.
Most of the minnows will fall into this category unless they are hugely talented or very lucky. If you are both then you are already a whale and you know what you need to do ;) But to most of the minnows out there or new steemians I would suggest a simple thumb rule that keeps you afloat.
thumb.jpgWelcome to Steemit.

DO COMMENTS AS MUCH AS U CAN
// DO FOLLOW US FOR MORE https://steemit.com/@yasirnabi //

if you are not into writing you can leave a couple of lines as comments on the interesting posts adding your opinion. This will make the author happy that people are engaging on his articles and if your comment is insightful they might follow you as well. I have followed a lot of people based on their comments. Kindly refrain from comments like "I will follow you, you follow me". This is not beneficial to either of you in the long run and will generally put off people.

Keep visiting https://steemit.com/@yasirnabi created and upvote interesting posts. This will make sure that minnows like you don't feel the same as you felt when you were a newbie. I would suggest splitting 100 votes on new posts and 100 by the posts from your feed. If you cross this number early don't let it stop you. Keep upvoting good content in their early stages. It is this curation that will make steemit a better platform.

WRITE AT LEAST 15 POSTS

Write atleast 15 good posts before giving up on steemit. This is the target I am keeping for myself and I hope I would have had a decent number of followers by the time I finish my 15th post. Remember to write posts because you like to write and help people and not with the sole intention of rewards.
If you write with the sole intention of earning rewards there is a chance that you might feel bad when things don't work out, whereas if you write because you love to write you are already content and rewards are only an added bonus,

Okay. Nice that you are trying to give a short at suggestions for success on steemit with yourself still very new and trying to get a followership. You are right by the strategy of people commenting (meaningfully) on posts of others and they get a following. However, it's not same for upvoting.

I would suggest splitting 100 votes on new posts and 100 by the posts from your feed.

The above is not encouraged... I don't expect one to be looking beyond 20 upvotes per day (at most) recommended number is 10 as that's how your SP can get back to 100 the next day... The reason why some drop a upvote but it seems nothing reflects in the reward for the post is because they had been voting indisciminately and their voting power is low.

I don't also advice that you go on sharing your post indiscriminately on the comment section of others' post. If you have to, i believe it should be related to the topic being discussed there at least. The one that brought me here wasn't.

Lastly, endeavour to mix around. Get on discord or steemit.chat, make friends and that way, you can build a following. You might even end up meeting that whale that will give you the support you need.

Many should put at the back of their minds that you might not hit it immediately on steemit but as said if you are consistently dishing quality contents, you are a step away from being discovered.

its their choice whether they upvote or not they are not bound by anything and the available information which I found should be shared : No two individual could waste their time

nice you artikel,,the best @yasirnabi

I like this it's actually encouraging, cause when you tell some people about steemit the first thing they think of is the money, but when they don't start seeing the money early they begin to loose hope.

yes well said

nice post for newbies like us following u and resteemed

Honestly I am new to steemit and I find it Intrestresting and disheartning at the same time. Your post was very helpful.
Thank you

You are welcome working together will make us far

I make post daily but still don't know how it goes? Cause sometime I do vote to other people but not give additional $ to them when vote to other its up $0,01

Dear make friends and vote them So does they and read my article daily Its not only about money, Money is worthit then Knowladge

I'm still just trying to figure this out. The lesser followed posts may only have a couple sets of eyes on it and even if they all upvote, it goes nowhere. Even the people making decent rewards may only have 6 upvote and 11 views after a few hours but for some reason they are rewarded with a solid $30 posting. Even the best bloggers dont seem to get a huge amount of page views, only they must have whales vote for their stuff. Curation is a challenge as well. After trying a few days, I also recommend that you just find stuff you like and bloggers you want to follow, because trying to play the game with a minnow steam power usually has gotten me 0 rewards and sometimes .001 or .002. I think I am getting over the frustration portion though, except I cant get a photo on my profile pic. Thanks

you gave some suggestions to the new steemians but the thing is you should only comment in low reputed persons if you want to share your post link. you are at 25 and I am 47 and you are giving me suggestions about how to write a post in a complete unrelated way. Thats really odd. you should not keep commenting your post link anywere it may cause you to get downvotes.
