Opportunities for Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Hello Steemit Community,

I hope this read all finds you all doing well.

If you spend time on youtube you probably also noticed that increasingly more content creators are growing increasingly frustrated with their conditions, especially since the latest changes with advertiser friendly monetizations.

Alot are looking for alternatives, much of them turning to livestreaming and living of off donations.

These channels have huge followings and all seem to be unaware of steemit at the moment, this is a huge untapped market in my opinion. The incentive is there, they would only have to post their youtube links on steemit and be able to significantly grow their income without having to change any of their processes. They would also be incetivized to advertise Steemit, bringing lots of new people to the community.

Below are listed the few channels that I have encountered lately, with links to the videos on which they speak about their frustration with the reduction in revenue that has come from youtube (when available). The idea would be that we comment below those videos suggesting to post the youtube links on steemit, and upvote other comments that propose the same. This list will be edited as more channels are suggested.

=> The first channel is called Ownage Pranks, and has 4.382.091 subscribers.
It is a prank channel (they have been hit pretty hard by the demonetizations)
It is a voice actor that does prank calls using several different accents including Indian, Black American, Southern American, Middle eastern, himself (white), Mexican and Chinese.
Here is the link to 2 videos where he talks about his frustration with the demonetizations :

=> The second channel is called StormCloudsGathering and has 521.074 subscribers.
It is a political channel who has had problems with youtube because of the controvertial content. Topics covered on his channel include geopolitics (anti-war), freedom, and solutions for the future. His videos are well researched and his public the kind of people that would feel at home on steemit.
I could not find the link where he complains about youtube directly, but I suggest we comment on the following :

Your suggestions and participation are apreciated !
