I have to move my crypto currency STEEM from Poloniex to Bittrex so I can transfer them to my Steemit account.
As of this time, Poloniex STEEM is "Temporarily Disabled" for the last two days. A fellow steemian investors told me, his STEEM is on hold for four weeks. This is the reason I am moving from Poloniex to Bittrex to Steemit, instead of simply moving from Poloniex to Steemit. I need STEEM or Steem Dollar in my steemit account so I can buy services of other members.
This procedure assumes that you already have a verified account from Poliniex, Bittrex and Steemit platform.
Let's begin.
From Poloniex. I have a STEEM so I need to sell it first in Exchange to convert to BTC.
After clicking Sell, wait for a few minutes to complete the transaction then check your BTC total. From Poloniex, click on Balances, then click Deposits and Withdrawals to see your total balance. Click the Total Balance field if sort it out. See sample below.
I successfully converted from STEEM to BTC, now ready to transfer my BTC to my Bittrex BTC Address ( 1LAxTSskRt7ngPnS8Lw4C9Cm9t7e7xUy4C ).
From Poloniex balance, click the Withdraw link of my bitcoin. I will enter my Bittrex BTC address 1LAxTSskRt7ngPnS8Lw4C9Cm9t7e7xUy4C as the recipient and amount to transfer. Like as shown below.
PLEASE NOTE: If you place an incorrect BTC address, you will not be able to recover your money. Double check or triple check the address before your transfer/withdraw.
Click Withdraw to proceed.
I have a Two-Factor Authentication enabled (highly recommended) to my Poloniex account, so I need to key the randomly generated pin code.
Then check your email for another confirmation to complete your withdrawal.
After clicking the email confirmation, you will receive your final confirmation.
You withdrawal is confirmed.
I can also check the history of my withdrawal. Click on Balances, then History. You will see the date of transaction, the amount of coin and the recipient address.
Now let's login to Bittrex.com website to check if we receive our BTC. From Bittrex, click on Wallet tab, the first in line is Bitcoin.
At this time, still at "Pending Deposit". We have to wait for a few minutes to complete the transaction.
Now we have BTC on Bittrex in Available Balance. We can now buy SBD (or STEEM).
From Bittrex, click on Market tab and search for SBD (or STEEM). I'm using SBD as an example here. Buy the amount you want to purchase.
Click on Buy SteemDollars when you're ready.
Click on Confirm to proceed.
Click Wallet to check our SBD purchased.
Now we are ready to withdraw (transfer) my SBD to my steemit account. Simply click on (-), enter the memo and your registered acct "yehey", click on Withdrawal to proceed.
I have Two-Factor Authentication enabled (again highly recommended to protect your account, remember your account is your money), bittrex will require the 6 pin code to proceed.
Let's go to steemit.com and login to verify receiving my SBD.
I hope this step-by-step procedure will help someone out there. Let me know if you have any questions.

As of late, Poloniex has become extremely slow because of all of the new user accounts. This is very positive for the Blockchain space, but unfortunately exchanges are suffering due to the huge influx in demand.
Most of them are having issues handling traffic, too bad when you're a day trader :)
my poloniex simply said steem temporarily disabled - but I was able to use poloniex today when I coinbase failed all day - to get ether to buy into the 21million ico which is till on and looks like an unprecedented opportunity- Another big question I need help with is - how to buy btc or any other with cash
Use localbitcoins to buy bitcoin with cash. Their reputation system will get you in touch with a local trader that is FAR more reputable than ANY online exchange.
Thanks
Yes, I have friends who also used the Poloniex previously but it just got suck. they try to transfer SBD from Steemit to Poloniex, although the history show it is a successful transfer, but Poloniex just don't reflect the balance. Any it have be outstanding for two days ( I don't know whether they solve this problem at tthis momnet yet). So, I am also considering movr to Bittrex.
May I have a question is that when I try to transfer SBD to Bittrex, it is also just click on th "+" button and get the address and type in Steemit to transfser, and that's all? Thanks for the post!
You need to use your memo and bittrex account. Make sure you are in SBD because all transactions are not reversible.

Good choice. I haven't heard anything good about poloniex lately.
Only when I needed them, they became unreliable. Ouch!
I hope they can improve their services, they aren't many option at this time for us to use. The more options we have, the better competition on the market and lesser fees to use the service.
You're welcome.
Thank you for the Vote Up ....
@Yehey
great post I think you would get more traffic if you changed your profile pic. internet people tend to avoid profile pics that look too perfect
Haha I will find a decent picture in my treasure box :)
I will keep you posted.
Thank you,
@Yehey
I lasted 2 weeks on polonex, bittrex is much easier and freindly. Though polonex charts were nice
Another member said, he's fund is on hold for four weeks.
Very useful for a noob like myself :) Thanks!
Thank you sir.
@Yehey
big help am following now for more goodness
@yehey bro can directly send ur steem coins to steemit from poloniex without wasting dt much time dt u wasted in ur above explanaation woiting for confirmations

As I have said, the STEEM is not accessible "Temporary Disabled" for the last two days for me. Another steemian told me, his steem is on hold for the last four weeks.
This is the reason, I moved them to Bittrex then to Steemit.
I hope it is simpler.
I think because of hardfork they hv not updated their steem wallet
Bittrex updated their wallet before hardfork
But good for u you got ur coons 😊😃
The HF-19 is not just recently announced. In this case Poloniex failed to adapt the fast paced of crypto currency world. They need to hire more engineers to keep up.
In recent weeks, they always have issue managing their operations. It kinda sad to read stories almost every week.
Yeah their support sucks too my withdrawl status of xrp
Complete:error
2 weeks no reply from support
They are happy to receive your trading fees, but too lazy to response to a support service request. This is one reason this trading company will fail sooner than we think.
Though we will also suffer if we have only limited of player in exchange business. So I'm hoping they can improve their services soon.
good call - makes a great case for free market
makes sense i never thought of that - been to busy to even look into what the hardfork accomplished
thanks u, your post help me :)

Good instructions and good move. @poloniex cannot be trusted anymore. I moved all my coins (those that Poloniex wasn’t refusing to release to me, anyway) to Bittrex too. It’s only a question of time now for Poloniex to go down in history as MtGOX 2.0.
Another steemian told me his coins are on hold for the past four weeks already, he' can't do anything.
I advised him to use the exchange, convert to BTC then move it somewhere else besides Poloniex.
Well, Coinbase had the same issue yesterday. I also shared my experience here.

I just hope they improve their services, the more options we have the better for us doing the trading maybe little fee on trading. Their fees is almost the same as trading in standard foreign exchange.
Just a thought!
@Yehey
Good thoughts!
thanks for putting it up clearly step by step
