How I Gained Over 225+ Followers In My First Month On Steemit

1) Be Unique

Being unique is one of the most important thing a blogger can do.

Everyone can write an article but not everyone can write an article that stands out. Figuring out how you can standout in an already saturated market will be your key to success. I realized a lot of people were posting about "investing" into crypto but no one was truly tracking/documenting the progress so I saw this as MY opportunity to be unique.

ex. Investing $44/day + Average Crypto Joe vs Active Investor Portfolio

2) Set a Schedule

Now that I've figured out my niche, I've set a schedule for my followers to track my progress. This allows me to ALWAYS have a guaranteed post at least two times a week.

ex. Thursday - $44/day Investment Update
Saturday - Average Crypto Joe vs Active Investor Portfolio Update

3) Interact

I think this is one of the most underrated tactics on Steemit. Without an audience your articles will go unnoticed. I try and spend at least an hour a day responding to comments or checking out the "New" section to meet new people. I want my followers and the community to feel appreciated and by me responding I feel as if i'm making a difference.

4) Promote Yourself

Not everyone on Steemit has 1000's of followers to cheerlead their articles, after every Blog post I post it immediately to my Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and a private Facebook group for the wold to see. When I write an article I want the world to see it and if I can increase my chances by showing it off I will!

5) Understanding Your Tags

In the beginning I never understood the importance of the "Tags". My recommendation would be to sort the "Tags" with the highest "Payouts" to increase the audience that will see your posts.

Very nice, I'm gonna guess next month will be even better for you if you keep it up

This is a good layout for a newbie steemian. I'll take up ur advice.

When I first started I felt as if I was lost, although this isn't a fool proof plan I think it lays out the groundwork for those looking to start.

The biggest things are engagement and consistency. If you can handle that then most of your work is done on Steemit. Resteemed

Thanks Randy!

Just picked up another follower. :)

Great advice. I am only about 16 days old on steemit. Has been a lot of fun. Think this post will help a lot of new people

A very good list. I think consistency and perseverance are game changers on Steemit. It can be frustrating when you're proud of a post and it goes completely unnoticed as you have very few followers. It's worth the initial struggle though, and I'm starting to see some traction myself by commenting on posts, and upvoting other content I like.

You taught me this approach Randy and I owe you my "tiny success" for it. Your posts are better and better, so interactive and visually attractive, and obviously loaded with precious content. I gotta talk to you about the point 5, that's something I still need to figure out. Great article bro! Thanks a lot!

Oh sorry bro @zacharylutes I totally skipped that you wrote this awesome blog haha, sorry man! Thumbs up and 100% upvote!

Excelente amigo sus sugerencia, tengo menos de un mes en la plataforma, todavía me estoy puliendo, me falta todavía mucho por aprender, sus consejos muy útiles, gracias y mucho éxito.

Solid advice! Thanks for this.

On tag selection, it would be great to be able to subscribe to various tags. Any idea if that is an option or something being developed?

Useful post. I can definitely use these tips! Resteemed :)
