it has to be made clear. the argument: would you steal a car? you wouldn't pirate a movie is a fallacy because if you stole a car it would be gone forever. with piracy your just making a copy and can buy it later.stealing a car being equated to copying something is ridiculous. if i were to pirate a car. you would still have a car and the keys and everything that its made out of. me copying it doesn't make it disappear.
the argument for sharing is much greater than the argument for copying being illegal.
as a consumer i should be able to try before i buy. and if i don't like it why should I pay for it?
a lost sale? i think not. i wouldn't have purchased it if i couldn't try it.
