THE GIRL IN THE TWILIGHT

Red girl in the twilight granted a pardon,
one hand in the cold breeze hugged abandoned,
uncleaned ears, wet little eyes,
hapless feelings, heart decries.

Two hands warmed the little one,
real mother dug that past has run,
hostile youngest sister at home is not the youngest,
she who created is the dumbest.

Three hands warmed the little one,
the joy is complete, everyone has won,
for she is God's reward after the struggles,
to love every day, to care, and to cuddle.

Six hands warmed the little one,
smiles incomparable, duties have undone,
in a journey like this of growing up and growing old,
big love surrounds cannot be bought by box of gold.

One time the lady in red arrived,
in one roof everyone was surprised,
heads assumed she'd give a warm hug,
but she never did and left a water bug.

One time the lady in red ate in the restaurant,
she saw us passed by but ignored in a daunt,
vengeance in mind arose swiftly,
red lady in the twilight disappeared suddenly.

Now that the little one is seven, talent is the gift from heaven,
proud souls contemplate when soon be eleven,
to see her happy with good little friends,
this talented little angel is a godsend.

In an exhaustion red girl counted her hair strands,
unexpected nights happened in the sands,
little one's poor father killed suddenly,
tears in her hearts shuttled hungrily.
