Today in the afternoon, I was galavanting around Ghana and saw a clock tower at the capital of Ashanti Region Adum kumasi to be precise, which used to serve as a form of siren in the heart of Adum that rang whenever it's 6 o'clock am, 12 o'clock pm and 6 o'clock pm for the prisoners at adum to know the time to eat or sleep.
The tower was built to the memory of Sir Donald Stewart, K.C.M.G. First President, and Chief Commissioner of Ashanti Region which positions he held from October 1896 to July 1904.I share with my family here on steemit some of the great history in Ashanti Kingdom
