Just put you on auto vote and love the work that you're putting in! Gundis arms are kind of tricky and depending on whether it's a revolver or a semi-automatic you need to take that into consideration because there are manipulations to help up your survivability rate. Jamming the slide on semi autos is an option. Rotating the cylinder on revolvers is another option. If there is an exposed Hammer you can always Jam that...

But you should also be comfortable with weapons controls to be able to hit the magazine release to remove ammunition or hit the cylinder latch for a revolver.

Thanks! Much appreciated. You are right, the more familiar you are with the weapon, the higher rate of survival. I think there are many gun disarms out there, some work, some are garbage. I think the best way to look at it, is if you have an exit, take it. If they want something, give it to them. If you can run away, run! These are definitely last resorts. Your likelihood of being shot or stabbed during disarms is very likely.

The one we filmed is super basic. But I do plan to do quite a few of these. I have not trained weapons disarms much in my bjj career, but lately I feel like I want to begin focusing on gun and knife disarms. There are also quite a few non-bjj techniques that are worth taking a look at when it comes to weapon disarms.

As someone who has half or more of his lifetime training weapons... If your in a altercation with a weapon. It's now like a streetfight. This is life and death.

Should you be confronted with a knife or gun? Odds on your survival have just went down drastically and a disarm is a calculated risk. As is fighting back. You are most likely to be ambushed and have to choose the time to counter Ambush when the opponent is distracted.

I absolutely love Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts however it is only practical to train all types of Martial combat. Which does include disarms and weapons training.

Stay safe!

wow nice post.....

This is gonna be great! The only technique I have for defending this is running in a zigzag pattern and screaming like Goofy!

:D I've clicked the pic, thinking it's a dtube link and there's actually the whole instructional video out already :/ :D

No, there is no d.tube video out yet. It hasn't been uploaded. When you click the pic, it takes you to steepshot.io. Steepshot is the Instagram of Steemit and is for photos only. When you post a photo to steepshot it also creates the Steemit post.

Yepp didn't notice steepshot logo on the bottom of the post...I've seen you mentioning it to @evecab on discord already...checked it out but I have and Android phone and the app store said it is still in Beta for us...dunno, Im afraid of downloading beta, since i'd probably have to give up some of my keys (probably just posting what is not dangerous but either way, better safe than sorry...don't want to get my account cleared ouf in 2020 cuz I've fucked up once in 2018 :D)..I'll wait for the first "main" release

The only permission posting has is to post for you. It's not access to your main key and cannot acess your wallet.

Who’s that hot guy on the right?

I'm the guy without the gun!

I think everyone should be taught. Because when we face a danger in the present life, we may not be able to make an emergency call. and in such times we are with ourselves. Thanks for information

Stay with the breathing in crisis moments. Nothing will make u panic faster than holding your breath, something many people naturally do unintentionally

Thank you for posting this. If correctly executed may save someones bacon ;) Looking forward to seeing the dtube video.

Becareful, that is danger

@zekepickleman escaping is always the first option. Any knife or gun scenarios are totally if you are trapped or have no other choice.

awsome post or comment...
