I cannot believe we have reached 20 gratitude posts already! It has gone so quickly. I was originally planning to stop at 30 and do my post share on all the things I have been grateful for over the 30 days, but this series has been so well received that I am thinking of carrying on indefinitely.... what do you guys think?! I will still do my collective post when I reach 30, and so can you guys, but I thought that perhaps the train should carry on and on.... chooo chooo!! haha! How awesome will it be to be able to reflect back on 100 days of gratitude! - Let me know your thoughts.
Oh and on that note, I hope you are all keeping record of all your gratitude comments :) Ok, lets get to it shall we...
Welcome to the #GratitudeTrain No. 20
......
I am of the firm belief that the habit of practicing gratitude on a daily basis is the key to shifting our lives in a positive direction. This is not only the expression of gratitude for the positive things in our lives, but also for the challenges which we are often faced with.
But sometimes, we can get wrapped up in our day to day existence and agenda, and it is not that we aren’t grateful, but rather that we simply forget to actually verbalise it or take the time to offer it a moment of dedication even in thought.
It is also true that surrounding yourself with the positive attitudes and mind-set of others, that it has a ripple effect on yours too…
......
So for ALL of us, including myself, I have decided to start this #gratitudetrain. We all spend a good portion of our lives here browsing through our Steemit feeds, so why not build a positive habit in the process. I think it will be great to share something every day that we are grateful for in our lives, no matter how big or small it may be.
Whether it is a new career path, a new hobby, an achievement of your child, a new relationship, a challenge overcome or simply a new pair of shoes… it doesn’t matter! There is without question… ALWAYS something we can take a moment to be grateful for!
Today I am grateful for all the amazing people in my @steemitbloggers community who have truly made my Steemit journey a one in a million experience. They have all become like family to me and my days would be a whole lot less colourful without them. I am repeatedly blown away by the levels of love and support shown daily and how each and every one of them are so willing to give of themselves, their time, their knowledge resources and more. I really am EXCEPTIONALLY grateful to know such a beautiful collective of people and to share this journey with them.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
......
Step 1.
So starting today, in the comments section of #gratitudetrain post No. 1 – write something that you are grateful for in your life and start it with the number… as in if this is the first time you are sharing on the #gratitudetrain, then write the number “1.” And then state what you are grateful for.
Step 2.
Keep a record of your #gratitudetrain expressions shared in the comments somewhere in a word doc or such.
Step 3.
When you reach 30 – then publish a post on your own profile and be sure to use the #gratitudetrain tag or to tag me @jaynie in the post.
As simple as that!
The idea of this being, that not only will you develop a healthy and positive habit but at the end of 30 days when you share your own post, you will be able to reflect back and realise, just how MUCH GOODNESS there is in your life!
HAVE FUN!!
……
Until next time...
Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx

oh... and have you met my little man?
@judethedude
Loving the way you are creating a whirr of positivty on Steemit. Today I am thankful for having warmth ans shelter on this cold winter's night.
I would love for the gratitude train to continue! I started a bit late and am at #13, so if you stopped at 30 I wouldn't be able to finish, right? Plus I just think it contributes greatly to steemit and could attract more and more gratitude and positivity :)
#13 Today I am grateful for the ability to overcome my fear of singing in front of other people. I will actually sing, dance and act in front of many people next week and am soooo excited!
Btw, this is post #20? It says #19 in the headline ;)
I think you know how I feel about the #steemitbloggers community... LOL! And yes, I have a Word document with all my replies so far. Oh, and I totally think you should keep this train chugging along!
#20 - Today I am grateful that our boy (20) has now started drinking coffee. No, not because I'm happy that the pot disappears faster (yes, I would do anything for my kids, but touch that last cuppa, and...), but because he's learned how to set up the coffee maker, and regularly makes pots so there's always fresh brew available. ❤️ 👦 ☕
Hi Jaynie... I've been waiting for #20 for long :)
Number 20
I am grateful for my mentally derailed primary school class teacher who got healed.
Like you, I am grateful to all in the #steemitbloggers community! A great bunch of folk, and especially you for having the vision to start it, @jaynie.
BTW - your sub heading says "Welcome to the #GratitudeTrain No. 19" ... ;}

#gratitudetrain # 19:
Today, I’m grateful for having the joy of enjoying the long conversations with my wife about everything and nothing. Those talks where we talk about our future, our dreams, what we’ll do for our upcoming son, nonsense stuff, anyway…. All the things we talk makes me treasure every single moment I spend with her.
Thank you @jaynie for keeping this Gratitude Train moving. It wouldn't be such a bad idea to get 100 days full of gratitude =D
I still believe you can choose to be grateful because someone or something has overwhelmed you. Otherwise, no matter what you do it will be forced gratitude not genuine at all. Take care. Have a great day Bosslady. 🍌🍌.
Your Welcome.
No. 12 I am grateful for my soft straight hair. Because I have friends that need to do rebonding or straightening and it takes time and money. So they admire my straight hair. So I gradually realise I need to give thanks for the hair given. You barely need to maintain it. Just wash and blow dry. Done. But my husband has wavy hair and I like it too.
And yes I think the choo choo gratitude train should continue till 100days. ;)
I am behind time due to too busy with family matters. Hugs and love to you.
Grateful for those who make me feel exceptional.
Quality over quantity.
